Dunfermline Carnegie Library & Galleries has four fantastic rooms which can be hired for meetings, conferences, parties and other private events and celebrations.
The Canmore and Queen Margaret Rooms are part of the original, historic Carnegie Library building, and reflect its proud heritage, whereas the smaller Bruce Room and Queen Anne Room are designed in the same strikingly modern style as the rest of this fantastic new building.
Heaven Scent, who runs the café at DCL&G, provides fantastic breakfasts, sandwich platters, finger buffets, fork buffets, refreshments, sweet treats and bespoke menus to suit your occasion, guests and budget. We pride ourselves in providing delicious and creative catering for everyone, regardless of any dietary restrictions, so let us know of any special requirements such as gluten free, vegan and vegetarian at time of booking.
The Canmore, at 116m2, is the biggest room on offer. It can be used in conjunction with The Queen Margaret Room, which is accessed via double doors.
Its beautiful, painted vaulted ceiling and wooden bookshelves along the walls mirror the distinctive design of the historic Carnegie Library.
This is a flexible space ideal for meetings, conferences, product launches and celebrations, and can be set up in any style to suit your event and requirements.
This room is ideal for small to medium sized receptions, meetings and lectures, as well as private dinners and celebrations for up to 50 guests.
The Queen Margaret Room can be used together with the Canmore Room to create a fantastically flexible events area.
The Bruce Room is ideal as a board room, with a capacity of 16 around the table, but also works well as a small classroom with different configurations possible.
The maximum capacity is 20 in theatre style format.
With natural light flooding in from the large window, the Bruce is a great space for small business events.
This area would ideally suit those looking for a relaxing place to meet. Like The Bruce Room, this room can cater for up to 20 people with varying configurations.
